This event was held on the 9th of March, 2016. My school, School of Science and Technology, held an school-wide event for students and teachers to view the solar eclipse. The objective of this event is to educate students and teachers on what a solar eclipse is and how it happens.
Below are some of the photos taken by the Astronomy Club during the event:
This is the Astronomy Club teacher in charge Mr Tan Hoe Heck presenting about the solar eclipse in the hall.
This is a picture of one of our Astronomy Club members wearing our CCA T-Shirt presenting about the solar eclipse in class.
This is the solar viewers we built for students to view the eclipse safely and for them to take photos.
The board is a styrofoam board with a piece of mylar in the middle to reduce the amount of light passing to the viewers eyes.
These are smaller solar viewers that the club bought and was given to individual students to view the solar eclipse.
